Research
My research focuses on the modelling, analysis and control of biological systems. My main skills are models in ordinary differential equations, wich may be coupled with discrete equations.
I am mainly interested in ecosystems created and/or managed by human beings. I initially worked on bioreactors, but am now entirely working on agricultural exosystems issues. I look for the definition and optimisation of ecosystems management practices. For instance, I worked on the stabilization of microbial ecosystems dedicated to waste water treatment, on the optimisation of introduction strategies in the biological control of pests for crop protection or on the deployment of resistant plants to fight plant diseases. I am also interested in basic biology and ecology issues: individual behaviors and their consequences on long term dynamics of interacting populations, plant parasites adaptation, invasion and spreading strategies of biological populations...
I hold a Doctorate (PhD) in control theory (Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, 2004) and a Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches in population biology and ecology (Université Côte d'Azur, 2018).
I am the leader of the team M2P2 (Models and Methods for Plant Protection) of UMR ISA (INRAE, CNRS, Université Nice Sophia Antipolis) and also permanent member of the joint project team Inria-INRAE-CNRS-UniCA MaCBES.
